Changing your address or updating your personal information with IBEW Local 212 is a multi-step process, use the following guide to make sure you update your address and personal information with IBEW Local 212 and all affiliated Plan Administrators and Benefit Providers.

Update your personal contact information with IBEW Local 212 using the Local 212 WebApp on your mobile device or by accessing it directly here – IBEW Local 212 WebApp.

Navigate to the <Personal Info> section to update your information. 

Updating your information using the Local 212 WebApp will provide your updated information to the following administrative and benefit offices:

  • IBEW Local 212
  • Zenith-American
  • Apprenticeship Office
  • DECA Credit Union

 

IBEW Local 212 partners with additional Benefit and Plan Administrators. You must provide updates to your personal information using their approved methods.

These providers are covered in Step 2.

Additional Benefit Providers

The following benefit administration providers require you change your personal information using their approved methods:

  • IBEW International Office
  • National Electrical Benefit Fund and the National Electrical Annuity Plan (NEBF/NEAP)
  • National Electrical 401k Plan (NEFP) this plan is optional, and you will only need to update your information if you participate in the 401k plan.

1. Personal Information & Records

  • Update with the Postal Service: Submit a change of address form at your local post office or online at the USPS website.
  • Driver’s License/ID: Update your address with the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV).
  • Voter Registration: Update your voter registration with your new address.
  • Social Security Administration: If you receive benefits, update your address with the SSA.
  • IRS: Update your address with the IRS to ensure tax documents reach you. Use Form 8822 for this.
  • Medical Records: Inform your doctors, dentist, and other healthcare providers.
  • Schools/Colleges: Notify your children’s schools and your alma mater if applicable.

2. Financial Accounts

  • Banks & Credit Unions: Update your address for checking, savings, and loan accounts.
  • Credit Card Companies: Notify all credit card issuers.
  • Investment Accounts: Update your address with brokers, mutual funds, and retirement accounts.
  • Insurance Policies: Notify health, life, auto, and home insurance providers.

3. Utilities & Home Services

  • Electric, Gas, Water: Arrange for the transfer or cancellation of services at your old address and set up services at your new address.
  • Internet, Cable, Phone: Transfer or cancel services and set up new services if needed.
  • Home Security: Update your address and set up service at your new home.
  • Trash & Recycling: Set up services at your new address.

4. Subscriptions & Memberships

  • Magazines & Newspapers: Update your address for any subscriptions.
  • Streaming Services: Update your billing address.
  • Gym Memberships: Notify your gym or consider transferring or canceling your membership.
  • Clubs & Organizations: Update your address with any social, professional, or alumni organizations.

5. Work-Related

  • Employer: Update your address for payroll and benefits.
  • HR Department: Ensure your new address is on file for any work-related documents.

6. Government Agencies

  • State Tax Agency: Update your address with your state’s tax department.
  • Veterans Affairs: If applicable, notify the VA of your new address.
  • Immigration Services: If you are a non-citizen, notify USCIS of your change of address using Form AR-11.

7. Others

  • Friends & Family: Send out a change of address notification to close friends and family.
  • Pet Microchip Company: Update your pet’s microchip information with your new address.
  • Loyalty Programs: Update your address with any retail or airline loyalty programs.
